ISS on Twitter for Hawaii

Posted on 16 November 2007 · 725 views · 118 words.

For purely selfish reasons I have added two new feeds to my Over… series of Twitter feeds, which update users to upcoming ISS and Hubble transits in their area.

Over Honolulu and Over Mauna Kea should begin updating in the next couple of days. Honolulu is obviously Hawaii principal city. Mauna Kea is a feed covering the many astronomical observatories on top of Big Island at an altitude of 4092m, including the one where I am going next week.

You’ll have to wait for the first ISS transits on the 24th and 26th of November. However, Hubble will pop up more often, starting tonight!

I am studying for my PhD in Astronomy at Cardiff University in the UK. Star formation is my main area of research but really I like anything to do with space, science and the internet.
