Astronomy iPhone App in Store

Was just looking through the App Store on iTunes and found an astronomy application for the iPhone/iPod Touch called Starmap [iTunes link]. It will be fun to play with this tomorrow when I can actually install any of these apps. Why Apple has let me browse (and buy) these things a full day before I can even use them, I don’t know.

Starmap costs $11.99 or £6.99.

    Hey Robert, I feel your pain!

    I just downloaded a bunch of Apps today, although the Apple tech support (via Chat) says I will be unable to use them for my iPhone.

    Its like window shopping but worse–you have the cash but you can’t get the goods.

    I never thought that I would say this… but the app store has got something new to offer today. It is a brand new app of the kind, similar to Star Map, but far more overwhelming. No more fuss about old leaders, because here come the new one, and it’s called STAR WALK. :)

    There are now seven good star-charting apps for the iPhone, and we’re fortunate to have such a diversity to choose from. I’ve just posted a review of the seven apps on my web site, with lots of screen shots and side-by-side comparisons.
